Successful launch of free web-based tool SolarGuidelines India
eclareon GmbH is proud to announce that the free web-based platform (http://www.solarguidelines.in/) for solar energy in India has been launched by the The Honourable Minister of New and Renewable Energy of India, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, on 5 November 2012. In the framework of the SolarGuidelines India project, a central database was developed providing a comprehensive overview on the solar project development life cycle of ground mounted solar (PV & CSP) and roof-top PV projects in India. The project development life cycle is depicted for the solar promotion schemes of the Rajasthan Solar Policy and the Federal Solar Mission (Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM)). Moreover, administrative and non-administrative key steps, average timelines, costs and key challenges are singled out.
SolarGuidelines India is coordinated by GIZ India in cooperation with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy India (MNRE) and implemented with the support of E.Quadrat, eclareon GmbH and init as international consultants and Deloitte India as local consultancy. The database aims to supporting small and medium size enterprises and other project developers by establishing a central information platform enhancing the understanding of the legal administrative frameworks and stimulating knowledge transfer among Indian Union states. SolarGuidelines India is first of its kind project in India envisaged to enable investment and stimulate the development of the Indian solar sector. Moreover, an interactive communication platform provides information on recent developments of the solar market.
