Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2018
The Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue is the leading, international conference of the German Federal Government, uniting international decision-makers of the energy sector to discuss the global and local challenges of the "energy transition". The conference is organized by the Federal Foreign Office in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. It aims to initiate an in-depth dialogue to learn from the global experience of recent years and to identify proven solutions and global best practice examples leading to a new, global energy policy.
The Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue was conceived and implemented by the consortium eclareon, BEE and BSW; since 2018 also together with the German Energy Agency (dena). The first dialogue took place in spring 2015 and welcomed more than 900 international guests from over 60 countries, including over 30 ministers and secretaries of state. A second and third edition of the dialogue took place in spring 2016 and 2017. In 2018, the fourth Dialogue took place.
The eclareon business consulting and policy consulting departments are mainly involved in the design of the dialogue program and the selection of international speakers. In addition, the departments provide background information on European and international markets, as well as support systems and existing obstacles to the development of renewable energies. In addition, members of the policy consulting team will accompany the green energy turnaround sofa on its global journey. The green sofa is to connect the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue with various international conferences and to create a virtual dialogue on the status quo of the global energy transition. We are pleased to welcome further international guests and decision-makers on the green sofa for photos and interviews.
