Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2019

The Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue is the leading, international conference of the German Federal Government, uniting international decision-maker of the energy sector to discuss the global and local challenges of the "energy transition". The conference is organized by the Federal Foreign Office in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. It aims to engage in intensive dialogue to learn from recent years and identify proven solutions and global best practice examples leading to a new, global energy policy.

The Berlin Energiewende Dialogue was designed by the consortium eclareon, BEE, BSW & dena and is also implemented by these partners. The first Dialogue took place in spring 2015 and welcomed more than 900 international guests from over 60 countries, including more than 30 ministers and state secretaries. Since then, the dialogue has been held annually in spring at the Federal Foreign Office. In 2019, the Dialogue took place under the motto "Energy Transition - New Horizons", focusing in particular on the four key topics of integrated energy transition, geopolitics, digitization and structural change. With more than 50 ministers and state secretaries and over 2,400 guests over the two days of the conference, the 2019 dialogue was the biggest dialogue in the five-year history.

The eclareon business consulting and policy consulting departments are embedded in the design of the dialogue program and the selection of international speakers. In addition, the departments both provide background information on European and international markets, as well as support systems and existing barriers to the development of renewable energy. In addition, members of the policy consulting team will accompany the green energy turnaround sofa on its global journey. The green sofa is intended to connect the Berlin Energiewende Dialogue with various international conferences and trade fairs, and to conduct a virtual dialogue on the state of the global energy transition. We are pleased to welcome more international guests and decision-makers on the green sofa for photos and interviews.
