Market potential analysis, case studies, website, online calculator and trainings on photovoltaic diesel hybrid solutions in Angola

With the support of the Delegation of German Business in Angola, the German Solar Industry Association and some of its member companies, eclareon is currently identifying profitable applications for the use of photovoltaics in order to reduce diesel consumption for power generation in Angola.

In the first step, several Angolan facilities using diesel generators to produce electricity are examined for the extension to a PV diesel hybrid solution. Based on the identified solutions, potential users will be informed and technicians will be trained in Luanda in order to give them the opportunity to systematically exploit this PV potential in the country. For the training experts of the German solar industry are involved, who have concrete implementation experience with PV installations in Angola. In addition, a free accessible website will be set up with sample projects and an online calculator for modelling the profitability of PV diesel hybrid projects. The Policy Consulting Team coordinates the project and is assisted by the Business Consulting Team in the analysis of the case studies, the creation of the online tool and the preparation of the trainings.
