Energy efficient buildings in Turkey

Capacity Building Measures for architects and building services planners for proper planning and construction of low- and surplus energy houses in Turkey

Partnering with German solution providers Vaillant and KNAUFINSULATION as well as with other German and Turkish project partners eclareon initiated and managed a capacity building project to educate Turkish architects and building services planners of single- / double and multi-family homes about the energy-efficient construction of residential buildings. The target regions of the project were the densely populated provinces of Antalya, Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir. Information sessions as well as training sessions for owners or managers of architectural and planning offices were planned, prepared and organized. Topics covered during these events encompassed operational issues of energy-efficient building design, proper planning and supervision of construction works. The trainings were designed to enable the participants to plan and implement energy efficiency solutions independently and in the correct manner. The project was co-funded by the funding program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
