German-Turkish Energy Innovation Forum

Together with the Federation of Business Associations (BUV) and the technology park operator WISTA-MANAGEMENT GmbH we organized a German-Turkish Innovation Forum for energy technologies with over 250 participants from industry, research, business development and education in Berlin on 20 and 21 November 2013. The forum focused on the know-how transfer to questions of applied energy research, energy management consulting and training.

The first day in the Ministry of Economy and Energy (BMWi) was characterized by innovative technology solutions in the sectors of renewable energy, energy storage, grid integration of distributed generation, energy efficiency in buildings and energy efficiency in industry. The second day in the Science and Technology Park Berlin Adlershof concretized the started discussion from the day before by guides on the Adlershof campus and by match-making talks between a total of 70 German and Turkish entrepreneurs.

On  behalf of GIZ eclareon also organized a workshop on the challenges and solutions for the grid integration of wind and solar energy with representatives of the Turkish state-owned grid operator TEIAS and with German grid technology experts.

The Business Development team conceived and planned the forum in close collaboration with various departments in the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), coordinated the program with around 15 partners and supporting organizations, supervised all speakers and participants, coordinated the implementation of the event on both days and documented all the forum results.
