An overview and practical guideline to implement new PV business models in Germany

The Investor Guideline PV was developed by eclareon with support of arepo consult in order to provide a comprehensive overview and introduction into different business models for solar PV investments in Germany. The publication focuses on direct line PPA’s, self-consumption and PPAs. These different implementation concepts are illustrated by best-practice examples. The authors calculated the economic feasibility of different business models including sensitivity analyses for different policy options. Furthermore, the guideline includes information on market potential, market structures, stakeholders and application segments. Apart from the solar industry, the guideline addresses private and institutional investors, banks, investors from commerce and trade, the industrial and building sector as well as PV project developers, installers, building owners and electricity suppliers and furthermore local utilities and energy cooperatives.
