Irrigation management in agriculture

Iran and neighbor countries in the region are at risk of an increasing lack of water due to climate change. This reinforced by increasing expansion and the use of previously untouched lands, the lack of irrigation management in agriculture and the use of outdated or misused technologies. To address this issue effectively there is a lack of up-to-date specialist knowledge about correct planning methods and the correct use and maintenance of modern technologies

As part of a develoPPP.de project, some European irrigation companies are currently collaborating in preparing training measures for the planning, construction and operation of modern drip irrigation systems. The project is coordinated by the German-Iranian engineering consulting firm Irriport.
