Re-frame

Estimating costs of renewable energies compared to conventional energy sources up to 2030 and beyond

The RE-frame project aims at identifying and assessing the most important drivers and barriers framing the diffusion of renewable energy technologies in all 28 EU Member States. The assessment covers all three major sectors: Renewable electricity, heating & cooling and transport. Through the RE-frame online platform, users are able to see the identified barriers for all 28 EU Member States and the three energy sectors and to comment on the exiting data, in case their individual perception is differing from the status currently described on the platform. The broad stakeholder interaction allows for a thorough validation of information. The platform contains currently more than 900 individual barriers for renewables. In addition, the platform also provides for detailed information on drivers for renewable investments.
