Renewable energies and grid integration on Greek islands and the mainland

A trade mission to Greece, with German companies offering technologies and solutions from the field of renewable energies and solutions for grid integration was taking place from June 19th – 23rd, 2017. An information and networking event was taking place in Thessaloniki on June, 20st 2017. The objective of the Information and Networking Event was to provide an active platform connecting local businesses, project developers and system providers with counterparts from the German renewable energy sector as well as solutions for grid integration of renewable energy sources. The event informed about the market for renewable energies and solutions for grid integration of those energy sources in Greece, know-how transfer and to showcase technology solutions made in Germany.

The German Energy Solutions Initiative is an instrument by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. It helps to initiate contact between technology manufacturers and service providers in Germany with potential business partners abroad. The programme of the trip to Greece was organized by German-Hellenic Chamber together with the German consulting company eclareon from Berlin.
