Water & Energy Advanced Management for Irrigation

This project was co-funded by the European Union under the 7th Framework Program within ENV-2013-WATER-INNO-DEMO-1. The consortium was composed of 17 project partners from five European countries: Spain, Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands and France. The partners came from a variety of backgrounds, including: business, research, irrigation communities, public agencies and organizations. The objective of the project was to improve the efficiency of water use and reduce the costs of power irrigation systems. The project developed a smart irrigation-management network that tried to optimize the use of water and energy.

eclareon was a partner of the WEAM4i consortium. The business consulting and policy consulting teams both contributed by researching and analysing the German electricity trade markets and by modelling the potential use of water storage solutions in Germany.
