Johanna Maarja Tiik
Johanna Maarja Tiik works as Consultant in the eclareon Policy Department. She is responsible for the research on climate change policies in Estonia as well as on the political and legal framework conditions in Estonia for promoting renewable energy deployment. Johanna Maarja Tiik is an Estonian native speaker, is fluent in English and has a solid knowledge of French and Russian.
She is involved in numerous projects. In the Wind Harmony and AURES II projects, Johanna Maarja Tiik is responsible for the Estonian portfolio. In the EU Semester project, she contributed to Estonia’s country report on challenges and climate and energy priorities.
Prior to her engagement with eclareon, Johanna Maarja Tiik gathered experience both in her native Estonia as well as abroad. She has energy policy consulting experience from GreenMax Capital Advisors in New York City, where she was engaged in the Business Consulting team. Before that, she gathered professional experience at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) Tallinn centre, helping out in the Sustainable Development department with research.
Johanna Maarja Tiik obtained a Master’s in International Relations from Central European University, with a special interest in EU climate and energy policies. During her Master’s, she also spent a semester abroad in New York City, focusing on international affairs in the context of globalisation.
