Act!onHeat

Advancing Strategic Heating and Cooling Planning in European Municipalities
Heating and cooling (H&C) accounts for about half of Europe's total energy demand, with 75% still dependent on fossil fuels. Rapid and significant change is therefore needed to meet the EU's 2050 targets, and action must be taken at local level, involving a wide range of stakeholders. Act!onHeat aims to make this common practice in most European municipalities. The objectives of Act!onHeat are to further disseminate and take up the concept and methods of strategic H&C planning, to improve its quality and to drive the development and implementation of identified measures.
