Cost analysis of renewable and conventional energy technologies up to 2030 and beyond
The RE-frame project aimed to identify and assess the key drivers and barriers to renewable energy development and deployment in the 28 EU Member States. The assessment covered all three renewable energy sectors: renewable electricity, renewable heating & cooling and renewable transport.
Through the RE-frame online platform, users were able to view the identified barriers for all (then) 28 EU Member States and the three energy sectors and comment on the results to feed their individual perceptions regarding the current situation of renewables into the project.
The platform captured more than 900 individual barriers to the development and expansion of renewable energy in the EU. In addition, the platform included detailed information on the drivers for renewable investment
