Preparation of a case study on employment effects from the construction of a new hydropower plant in East Africa
The case study was written to assess the employment potential of the Regional Rusumo Falls Hydroelectric Project (RRFHP), which was still under construction at the time of writing.
The focus was on examining local jobs created by the construction and operation of the power plant, as well as activities associated with local development projects. To this end, project documents were reviewed and interviews were conducted with project stakeholders.
