Balochistan Renewable Energy Study
Study on the options for the expansion of variable renewable energies in Balochistan
The objective of the study is to increase interest and political commitment to the strategic development of solar and wind energy in Balochistan in Pakistan in order to achieve Pakistan's renewable energy targets.
Led by 8.2 Renewable Energy Experts, previous World Bank studies were evaluated and further developed using the latest data and information. In particular, different options for the deployment of variable renewable energy in Balochistan were investigated and evaluated in a supply-demand analysis for the electricity market until 2028 and 2033, respectively. Potential roadblocks and stimulants have been analyzed and recommendations have been framed.
